When I first saw Mary I did two things.I stared at her face. Not in a creepy way, she just has this commercial face that eyes are drawn to. The second thing I did was think of a button. Buttons are cute, round, and smooth, and somehow she reminded me of one.

So yesterday was 60 degrees here in Idaho. I walked all day without a jacket, and I even tanned outside. Everyone was in such a good mood. People were out flying kites, laying on the grass, and everyone was smiling. It's amazing the affect weather can have on your mood. Later that night, there was the most gorgeous sunset! This is the first time I've seen a sunset since I got here. I miss California <3

So, sometimes I feel like I live inside a soap opera. I'm not complaining though. It makes life more exciting. But you know how you can only watch a soap opera for a certain amount of time? Especially the Spanish ones. Those get old real fast. I saw like 10 min. of an episode one time, and there was a lady holding a knife to her husbands throat. He was having an affair with his wife's sister, who just so happened to be his boss. I got bored and switched to That 70's show, where Ashton Kutcher never fails to deliver. Well anyways, I don't live in a Spanish soap opera, just a regular one, so I'm not bored yet. By the way... Happy Valentines Day!

127 hours...

I don't usually blog about emotional topics, but my roommate and I watched 127 hours last night, and it really got me thinking. We've all heard the story about the mountain climber who was hiking in Utah and got his arm stuck between a boulder. He was stuck for 127 hours and eventually cut his own arm off with a cheap dull pocket knife in order to survive. But what I liked about the movie was that, Erin (the mountain climber) realized his whole life had been leading up to the moment when his arm would be stuck. He had not been living his life the way he knew he should. He didn't have much contact with his family, he missed his own sisters wedding, he broke up with his girlfriend because of his own selfishness, and he had no true friends. So when he decided to mountain climb alone in Utah, no one knew where he had gone. He probably thought he was going to die, but he said if he ever got out alive, his life would be different. I don't want to go through a drastic life threatening experience to make me realize how I should live. We should all live like Erin, and treat everyday like a gift, because life goes by too fast to take it for granted.

So College is great. I get to sleep in, stay up late, be poor, listen to loud music, and eat ramen noodles and pop tarts until I feel sick, but I do miss some people. I can't wait to see them and laugh until my stomach hurts.

Thea and I love Anthropologie. Every time I go, she begs me to take her. Last week, I got the catalog in the mail. My mom threw it away (for some unknown reason) and Thea was so mad, she got it out of the trash can and was like "why would mom throw this away? She doesn't appreciate clothes like we do." She cracks me up. We looked at it together, and then Thea was inspired to do a little photo shoot.

I have finally come to a decision regarding my Halloween costume. I don't think I'll have a chance to wear it, and I am far too old to go trick or treating, but If I feel so inclined to spend money and dress up for no good reason at all, I am going to be...Hannah Montana!!!
